Five birders thrash their local shrubbery for a whole year, to little real effect. One of them does it using a camel, but none of them is into cars....

Two new 'uns
Reached 104 for the year by foot and by bike today, with two pretty predictable species - a Redshank on Rockford Lake, and a Chiffchaff in song near the house. Half expected a SanMa on a brilliant warm day - but no joy yet.....
